Today in class, we did a bell ringer about a journey that you make to school everyday. Then we had to take notes on the video of the children that was provided.

Today we learned about claims and gun violence in the African American community. I read an article about violence and showed evidence about it. Mr. Rease showed us a few examples on how to do it.
We learned that an argument is a statement of opinion backed up by evidence. This is an argument composed of three distinct components: the speaker, the purpose, and the reason. A rhetorical triangle consists of Logos, Ethos, and pathos. A claim is an opinion and a topic. A claim can be a claim of fact, a claim of value, or a claim of policy.
