Today we learned about claims and gun violence in the African American community. I read an article about violence and showed evidence about it. Mr. Rease showed us a few examples on how to do it.
We learned that an argument is a statement of opinion backed up by evidence. This is an argument composed of three distinct components: the speaker, the purpose, and the reason. A rhetorical triangle consists of Logos, Ethos, and pathos. A claim is an opinion and a topic. A claim can be a claim of fact, a claim of value, or a claim of policy.
