The old man was trying to show us that we shouldn't be an Alcoholic. By being an alcoholic he had a lot of flashbacks on memories like seeing his teammate or friend die. His wife left him and he didn't want her to live. The day that he took his first breath and hung out with his family going places. Live your life like it's the last day and shouldn't have any regrets. Live life to the fullest
