 The poem I'm Nobody! Who are you? the poem is about how everyone was to be somebody and how being a nobody is better. Due to the fact that the majority of people would like to be known as somebody. If you're nobody you're one of a kind. The main theme is self-identify and all that goes with it.

 Today we talked about argument and what it means. We talked about opinions. Before we went to lunch we had to do pro, con, comprising the argument we chose from the box. We talked about Unpopular opinions. After we came back from lunch we had to take our vocabulary test since we didn't get to Friday

 Today we learned about claims and gun violence in the African American community. I read an article about violence and showed evidence about it. Mr. Rease showed us a few examples on how to do it. 

 Today in class, We did a kahoot for our test tomorrow as a review.  After we came from lunch we were to assign to write vocabulary words down and do the exercises 1, 3 and 4 and turn it in as a grade. 

 Today In class we went over arguments and Logos, Pathos, Ethos worksheet. 

 We learned that an argument is a statement of opinion backed up by evidence. This is an argument composed of three distinct components: the speaker, the purpose, and the reason. A rhetorical triangle consists of Logos, Ethos, and pathos. A claim is an opinion and a topic. A claim can be a claim of fact, a claim of value, or a claim of policy. 

 Today, we practiced using vocabulary words in two sentences. As a means of understanding the word. After that, I wrote a five paragraph essay using five of the vocabulary words. It helped me make a short story and I learned how to properly using big words.

 We learned in class that brainstorming is an essential part of developing a compelling argument. I also learned how to use a topic chart that can help us form an essay. I then made a rough draft on why Miami is overrated.

 What I learn in class was some new vocabulary words that got added to arsenal like adroit, adulterate and amoral. I can relate to amoral because I got confuse on what I'm doing right or wrong.

 The task in class was to write an essay using the components of a body paragraph. There is a top sentence, evidence, explain evidence, evidence 2, and a conclusion. In this assignment, we were required to explain how and why we should prepare for a job interview.

 Omar Allen  1/17/23    Today in class, we talked about how to brainstorm and learned how to use cluster. Took notes about "Cluster" and Brainstorm and showed use the components of a body paragraph by following the rules. Pre-writing, Drafting, Revising, Editing, and Presenting as a class. What I reflect on today's lesson I'm going to need that in the real world 

Omar Allen 11/12/23 Bell Ringer                                                                     The last 3 Minutes            The old man was trying to show us that we shouldn't be an Alcoholic. By being an alcoholic he had a lot of flashbacks on memories like seeing his teammate or friend die. His wife left him and he didn't want her to live. The day that he took his first breath and hung out with his family going places. Live your life like it's the last day and shouldn't have any regrets. Live life to the fullest            

                                                                                The Best Advice      The best advice from both of my parents is "Everyone is not you're friend don't trust others". The reason she told me that because I was at the mall of StoneCrest and I was with some people who I thought was my friends just hanging out and I guess some people wanted to fight one of the people who I was with and than the people i thought was my friends were fighting so it was like a 5 on 5. When I turned around I was just trying to get away from the problem but they started swinging on me. When they gave me that advice Ive never had to do with nobody else problems no more and to this day I still follow that problem. I take that real personal.. 

    What we did today was watch a short film about someone on an elevator. Than the class wanted have a debate about why they couldn't see the short film. Mr. Rease showed us how to get on blogger and log on. Than we had went to lunch for like 30 minutes. Than we came back to class to take our Pre test.

  Omar Allen January 9,2023 3rd block Bell Ringer                                            The Elevator Short Film      What I thought about the film was that it was dumb because the man went into an elevator with other people but I guess the elevator is unbalanced. So, the man got off the elevator and got on the other elevator but the people on the other elevator were coughing and sneezing.
